Susan Bremer is a forty-eight-year-old down-to-earth scientist turned stripper turned self-help mentor and student of psychology. She graduated from high school with honors at sixteen, immediately attended business college to be a legal secretary, worked in the business world for four years, then embarked on a career in a new technology field dominated by men.
In 1983 she graduated with honors, the only woman amongst men, from a Laser Technology Program in Wausau, Wisconsin and spent the next twelve years working with laser systems. For three years she traveled the United States and Canada as a company representative and laser service technician fixing and installing laser systems, rumored to be the only woman doing that kind of work at that time. For nine years she worked closely with engineers and physicists on secret experiments on the world's most powerful laser system for the Department of Energy at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California.
In November, 1998, she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Vermont College where she'd focused on writing creative nonfiction and studied current sexual and moral culture and women’s issues and history.
Never one to follow a conventional path, at thirty-five, an age when many women grapple with issues surrounding their sexuality and physical appearance, she abandoned her technical career and started stripping, again an anomaly; she was the oldest women among her constituents. For almost ten years she danced in Gentlemen’s Clubs in San Francisco, Sacramento, Las Vegas and Reno.
Drawing from her experiences as an exotic dancer, Susan created a series of one-day and multi-day workshops on self-esteem, movement and body image and independently created and produced a video, then DVD “The Art of Sensual Dance® for Every Body", currently titled "Art of Sensual Dance® Series: Striptease for Real Women," that contains strategies and techniques for obtaining Self Appeal through positive imprinting, meditation and sensual dance.
Through her journey to Self Appeal Susan has emerged a thoughtful, prodding, truthful, observer of life with a product that has empowered thousands of women. As a result of her own Self Appeal Journey, Susan has found the soul mate of her dreams and is recently married and living with him in Modesto, California.
Susan now coaches women on creating their own Self Appeal, mentors exotic dancers on building Appeal in a complex work world, volunteers to help people in recovery develop their lives and esteem and is pursuing her psychology education while writing her Self Appeal® series of books.
